The Galleria shopping mall is an international shopping destination that hosts more than 24 million visitors annually, offering world-class shopping with more than 317 stores, 30 restaurants, two hotels, and a full-sized ice rink. It is located at the corner of Westheimer Rd and Post Oak Blvd in the heart of Uptown Houston. The Galleria, Houston is situated at 5085 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77056. It was developed by Gerald D. Hines and opened in 1970 as the first mixed-use project in the United States. The mall was inspired by the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, Italy, and features a glass-vaulted ceiling spanning 200 feet above an octagonal ice rink. The mall has undergone several expansions and renovations over the years, adding new stores, restaurants, hotels, office towers, and entertainment venues. The Galleria, Houston is home to a who’s who list of designers, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Jimmy Choo. Sitting alongside the upscale boutiques are anchor stores Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and two Macy’s department stores, adding up to more than 2 million square feet of shopping thrills. The mall also has a variety of dining options to suit every taste, from steakhouses and dumpling bars to sandwich shops and fast food. Some of the popular restaurants include Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, Nobu Houston, The Cheesecake Factory and Shake Shack. The mall is open from Monday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, from Friday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Sunday from noon am to 7:00 pm. The mall has ample parking spaces for visitors in its surrounding lots and garages. There are also designated spots for handicapped parking and valet parking. The mall is accessible by public transport via METRO bus routes 33 (Post Oak Crosstown), 81 (Westheimer), and 82 (Westheimer Limited) that stop near the mall entrance on Westheimer Rd.

Jose, if that is really his name, is the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my 30 year history of shopping at the galleria. Incredibly rude!!! Absolutely the worst!!! He refused to give his name and he threatened to not take care us us because we asked if he had been immunized. He wasn’t wearing a mask. He lied at 1st because he said he was immunized but when I asked why he didn’t display his immunization card had admitted he had not been immunized yet! This happened at about 2:30 in the afternoon on 5/7/2021.
