Fontana Shopping Center is a shopping mall located in Tulsa, Oklahoma1234. It is situated on the southwest corner of East 51st Street and South Memorial Drive.
Fontana Shopping Center was built in 1965 by Fontana Development Corporation. It was one of the first shopping centers in Tulsa to have a central courtyard with a fountain and a clock tower. The original tenants included Safeway, TG&Y, Walgreens, and Brown-Dunkin. Fontana Shopping Center has undergone several changes over the years. In the late 1970s, it was renovated and expanded to include a cinema complex and a food court. In the 1980s, it lost some of its major tenants to newer malls, such as Woodland Hills Mall and Promenade Mall. In the 1990s, it was partially converted into an office park. Fontana Shopping Center currently has about 19 stores and services, including a Hideaway Pizza, a Magoo’s Sports Bar, an Akins Natural Foods Market, a Chinese Buffet, a Mexican Restaurant, an Amazon Laundromat, a Tail Waggers Pet Salon, a CG Church and a men’s haircut place. Fontana Shopping Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, the individual stores and restaurants may have different opening hours. Fontana Shopping Center has a large parking lot that can accommodate many vehicles. It also has bike parking available.
