Resident of Lee's Summit
The Independence Center is on a bus line and also has ample parking, Developers should turn it into a center of daily living where working people could shop, dine, buy groceries, and have entertainment and activities venues, in a safe indoor environment. There might be a need for some covered parking. Someone might even want to locate a non-denominational church on the premises, or perhaps a library. The old Sears should provide a place to develop auto repair.
Unemployed
The new mall management does not care how clean the mall is he has ran off all bit one of the malls cleaning staff. Although they have said they have eleven security guards. They have only 4. And only 2 house keeping employees. It has went down hill fast as you will be able to tell when you drive into the parking lot. The trash on the outside makes me wonder. If so dirty out here. Is it theat dirty inside. The answer is yes. All it takes is the smell if a trash can in side the mall. Folks the new management is from moreno valley california. They care nothing about our mall. It is evil.

The mall use to be really nice but now with a bar in the middle of the food court it's not family friendly. I was having a nice dinner with my family when all of sudden someone at the bar decided to make loud bird call. It was really annoying and it made my kids wonder what is going on. I told them he's probably a little drunk but why would the mall want that kind of behavior in the mall. There is a place for that and the mall is NOT! I then spoke with someone at Panda and they told me a guy passed out right in front of the restaurant on a sunday! Ambulance was called what in the world are the mall management thinking! I'm not coming back here anymore. It's sad to see a good mall go down the drain hopefully someone smarter then the current management team will step in and save this mall
