Typical dying retail mall struggling to transition and remain relevant. I was there when it opened and I’ve seen it’s retail mix, physical plant, security and surroundings steadily downgrade since its opening in 1997. Kind of sad to watch really. Other malls may have had it even worse, but unfortunately this mall is not only challenged by today’s changing retail environment nationwide, but that is compounded by the fact that the city it sits in is also steadily shrinking and has seen no significant economic development that would help sustain its retail base. That’s why you see the mall now with second and third rate stores that cater to the title loan crowd. Sears, JCPenny and Goodies (three of the five original anchors) have closed. Belk and Dillard’s remain but not for long. It has been purchased by an owner who specializes in flipping old malls. At a meeting of the local chamber last year, the owner actually begged locals to patronize the mall or it would be soon going away. He also begged taxpayers to invest in an adjacent sports complex in hopes of revitalizing the mall. That’s telling. Soon this mail will be a virtually abandoned hulk, unless locals can find alternative uses for it.

Well far as I know I live in meridian. and it's actually bigger then a lot of malls I been to outside meridian. and it's not a trash can if u meant dat literally, it offers a lot of exciting jewelry stores, clothing stores such as buckle8, lids, citygear, etc.
Not worth putting in a job application at this place by ,
If your desperate and need a job working at this mall than go for it. If you believe if you can do better than don't waste your time at this trash can of a mall.
