Sarasota Square Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Sarasota, Florida, United States The mall has today about 32 stores, testaurants and services. The mall was opened in 1977 as Sarasota Square by developer Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. and originally featured Burdines, JCPenney and Sears as its anchor stores. The mall was renovated and expanded several times over the years, adding new stores such as Macy’s, Dillard’s and Costco. The mall was acquired by Westfield Group in 2003 and renamed Westfield Shoppingtown Sarasota Square. The name was later shortened to Westfield Sarasota Square in 20051. In 2021, the mall was sold to Torburn Partners, a real estate investment firm based in Illinois. Torburn Partners has announced plans to demolish the mall and redevelop it as a town center-style mixed-use community with up to 1,200 market-rate apartments and as much as 500,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space2. The redevelopment will not include the existing Costco, JCPenney, AMC Theatres and a bank outparcel.
The mall is open from Monday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Went to the mall on April 2 we went to the perfume collection and spent $$$ bought a few perfumes and come to find out we were overcharged all perfumes we bought we found online for 1/2 of what we paid including a Minnie Mouse perfume set we found at Target for $18.00 I paid 42.00 including tax. Im highly upset and I will put reviews on Google tripadvisor how you overcharge for all those perfumes who you say are are a percentage cheaper . you should be ashamed and need to go out of business cheater. Thank You Gladys Javier
