MainPlace Mall is a large indoor shopping mall located in Santa Ana, California, United States. It is one of the major malls in Orange County and one of the oldest in the region, with over 145 retail shops, 20 restaurants, a movie theater, and a fitness center. It is owned and operated by Centennial Real Estate Company, a private real estate investment firm that specializes in shopping centers. It attracts millions of visitors every year and features popular and affordable stores for various needs and preferences. MainPlace Mall is located on 2800 N Main St, Santa Ana, CA 92705. It is situated on the southeast corner of Main Street and Memory Lane, near the Santa Ana Freeway. It covers an area of 1.1 million square feet and has three levels.

MainPlace Mall was developed by Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation and opened in 1987 as the MainPlace/Santa Ana. It had four anchor stores: JCPenney, May Company (later Robinsons-May, then Macy’s), Nordstrom, and Bullock’s (later Macy’s). The mall also had a carousel, which was removed in 2014. The mall underwent several expansions and renovations over the years, such as adding a fifth anchor store: Sears (later Round 1 Bowling & Amusement) in 1990, adding a food court in 1992, adding a sixth anchor store: The Broadway (later Macy’s Men’s & Home Store) in 1993, adding a movie theater: Edwards Westfield MainPlace 10 (later Regal Cinemas Edwards Westfield MainPlace) in 1998, adding a fitness center: 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport in 2016, and adding a furniture store: Ashley Furniture HomeStore in 2017. The mall was sold by Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation to Westfield Group in 1998 for $165 million. Westfield Group renamed the mall as Westfield Shoppingtown MainPlace in 1999 and later as Westfield MainPlace in 2005. Westfield Group sold the mall to Centennial Real Estate Company in 2015 for $214 million. Centennial Real Estate Company restored the mall’s original name as MainPlace Mall in 2016.

MainPlace Mall has today over 145 stores that offer a variety of products and services to its customers. Some of the major retailers include Round 1 Bowling & Amusement, Macy’s, Macy’s Men’s & Home Store, JCPenney, Nordstrom, PetSmart, H&M, Forever 21, and Old Navy. MainPlace Mall also has several pop-up shops that feature emerging brands and exclusive collections. MainPlace Mall has over 20 restaurants that cater to different tastes and budgets. Some of the restaurants include Wokcano Asian Restaurant & Bar, Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, Applebee’s Grill + Bar, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Panda Express, and Chick-fil-A. MainPlace Mall also has a food court that offers fast food choices such as Sbarro, Subway, Charleys Philly Steaks, and Auntie Anne’s. MainPlace Mall is open seven days a week from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sunday. MainPlace Mall has several parking structures and lots that can accommodate up to 6 000 vehicles. The parking is free for all customers. MainPlace Mall is accessible by public transport as well. There are several bus stops near MainPlace Mall that are served by OCTA buses.
