The experience was great on Saturday the gentleman that helped us went out of his way to make sure our experience (I would give him five stars) was one to be remembered. Unfortunately we bought a shirt and a pair of shorts that did not fit my brother in-law that was visiting from Arizona and is not able to walk long distance at this time.
As we enter the store we tried to inquire about an exchange to where one of the Assistant Managers answered with an apprehensive attitude "we don't do exchanges or refunds it's been like that for about the last 4 months, it was my first time there and I wasn't aware of it. I asked who she was and she advised of her title, I asked to speak to the Manager.. we were advised that she was on the phone and would be out soon, this turn into a very lengthy wait.
Finally she did and she advised us of the same information I did explained the situation to which she replied with a firm voice that was their policy and there was nothing she could do, once again I continued to explain the situation finally she did agree to do the exchange.
Anita is what she said her name was, attitude was one of passive aggressive and while she did dur the exchange she wanted to make sure to get the name of the employee that according to her was supposed to give us this information. I definitely understood this because you want to make sure the employee is aware.
Anita walked away to one of the employees and made comments like "I told you he is careless" to which I address this to her and she mentioned that she was a Manager, I thought this was totally unacceptable behavior her attitude was not one of a Management mentality, I do not think that other employee members or even customers need to know if their co workers are competent or incompetent, that should be up to the discretion of the Manager.
While I appreciate the fact that she did helped us out, the attitude is one that I would have appreciated to do without. A better customer service oriented individual that cares and is professional at her job. We left with a bitter taste in our mouth and are not looking forward into going into any of Polo Ralph Lauren stores ever again.
