Eastdale Mall is a regional enclosed shopping mall located in Montgomery, Alabama. It opened on August 3, 1977 and was developed by Aronov Realty Management, a local real estate company. The mall is situated on the eastern side of the city, near the intersection of Interstate 85 and Atlanta Highway. The mall has undergone several expansions and renovations over the years, adding new stores, services, and attractions. Eastdale Mall features over 70 stores and services, offering a variety of products and categories. Some of the major retailers include At Home, Belk, Dillard’s, JCPenney. The mall also has a food court with several dining options, such as Chick-fil-A, Charleys Philly Steaks, Great American Cookies. Eastdale Mall offers a range of dining options for shoppers and visitors. In addition to the food court, the mall has several restaurants and cafes located throughout the center. Some of them include Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Cinnabon, Starbucks Coffee, Subway. You can also find some local favorites, such as Eastdale Grill & Oyster Bar, Hibachi Express & Sushi Bar, and Waffle House. Eastdale Mall is open seven days a week. The general hours are Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sunday from noon pm to 6:00 pm.

Eastdale Mall was the first enclosed shopping mall in Montgomery and the second largest in Alabama when it opened in 1977. It had four anchor stores: Montgomery Ward (later Sears), Pizitz (later Parisian), Gayfers (later Dillard’s), and JCPenney. Eastdale Mall is home to Alabama’s only ice skating rink inside a shopping mall. The rink was added in 1981 and has been a popular attraction for families and groups ever since. The rink offers public skating sessions, ice skating lessons, birthday parties, and special events. Eastdale Mall has a carousel that was imported from Italy in 2005. The carousel features hand-painted horses and other animals that move up and down as the carousel spins. The carousel is located near the food court and costs $2 per ride. Eastdale Mall has plenty of parking spaces for visitors. There are six parking lots surrounding the mall that can accommodate over 5,000 vehicles. Parking is free for all visitors. Eastdale Mall is accessible by public transport via the Montgomery Area Transit System (MATS) bus. There are two bus stops near the mall: one on Atlanta Highway near JCPenney and one on East Boulevard near At Home.
