West Elm - Vacaville, California CA 95687 - Vacaville Premium Outlets

I purchased a few items from this store that were in pristine condition and even paid a $300 delivery fee on top of it all, for it to be delivered to me. I scheduled a time and date that worked for me and waited for my stuff to be delivered. Well, not only was it delivered on the wrong day and time, but it was delivered damaged and with missing pieces. I wasn’t home at the time of the delivery (as it was the wrong day and time), so I had to ask my apartment manager to accept the delivery for me. Upon arriving to my home that night, I noticed that the items were scratched, damaged, pieces were missing and my items where not in the same condition as when I purchased them. I called the store right away and spoke to Stephen who was very willing to help, but the store manager Tricia, ultimately decided that because the items were accepted and signed for that there was nothing she could do and I had to keep the stuff as is. I have been stuck with a king bed that I haven’t been able to put together because there’s missing pieces and a Chifforobe full of scratches. I am completely disappointed at the lack of customer service and their unwillingness to make things right. I would warn others to not purchase items from this store as I’ve been dealing with this for a few months now and west elm isn’t taking responsibility as apparently west elm outlet and west elm are two different companies. I am now working with my bank to find a resolution for my problem and I never want to do business with west elm again. Proceed with caution when purchasing from the store, take pictures of the stuff when you purchase them and then take more again after its delivered and document everything for your own protection.
