Boeing Engineer by ,
Good day I wanted to leave a review for Verizon Diamond Wireless in the Clackamas Mall; Oregon. 1-503-406-6561 I wanted to say I felt taken advantage of by a sales rep. He more or less coerced me into buying two HUM devices by saying they were free and then when I asked him if there would be any monthly fees associated w/ the costs he said "No, they won't cost you anything". After I had called Verizon and spoken w/ their service representatives I learned I would be stuck in a 2 year contract with these Hum Devices at 20 dollars per month. I then followed up with him w/in the next 3 days and he tried explaining to me I'd be refunded 480 dollars because of the package deal I was getting (I have these e-mails if you'd like for verification) and although it was true I'd be getting money back, it wasn't specifically for the HUM but my Galaxy S8 I had bought as an upgrade [50% off black Friday ~$375 savings]. In short, the refund I was receiving was not contingent on me buying the HUMs yet he was trying to ease me by creating an illusion w/ other cost savings provided by Black Friday or me getting rid of insurance plans. It was a very condescending and horrific salesman technique; he then didn't respond to me for the next 3 days and so I went back to the store and returned everything. I talked to himthere but after he tried "smokescreening" the situation w/ more alternative numbers I asked to speak w/ his much more decent store manager Amanda. She was very accommodating and professional. She gauged the situation well and was more willing than her sales rep to apologize for any wrong doings. Initially, she was concerned about why I wanted to return everything and tried to get me to keep the Victra devices but I was inconsolable after feeling treated lowly by the sales rep. In her efforts to ease my feelings of sadness and discontentment she offered to cover the discharge fees; I felt better that she was working to reconcile relations and so accepted her kindness. In the end I lost $60 for activation of HUMs & then another $35 for returning the Phone as well (I had to pay 70 & generally it is $35) but I am willing to toss it up to a lesson learned to be more vigilant of manipulative/power-abusing sales reps. I felt I should share this to shed light on how the sales rep, which I will not name, goes about his work; he is young but I feel if he does not learn now, he will negatively affect everyone he serves and then himself. Lying and bending words should be unacceptable and is degrading to all parties in the long run. I do hope the best for him and want to see him succeed because I think he has potential; we all once were 19 years old like he is. Sincerely
