Trader Joe's - San Francisco, California 94132 - Stonestown Galleria

I have been a frequent shopper at Trader Joes for most of my life. I go to the stonestown location almost weekly. I shopped, slid my card, and was told the transaction was unable to process, my boyfriend who has plenty of money slid his card, again we were told the transaction was unable to process. We tried this several times, including calling the food stamps hotline to verify amounts. We were then taken to a separate register, and rung up. This register couldn't read and card sliding through it, the supervisor helping me with the problem, started to look at me as if i was the problem. Eventually we slid the card very very slow and it registered, but again the transaction was unable to process. Flabbergasted I begged for another register, he refused, so we left, i went to safeway to see if my card worked or not. It worked. I came all the way back to trader joes in the rain bc this was a holiday meal. I went to the same supervisor, (which wasn't a good idea, b/c he immediately scowled and me and started talking down to me.) I thought it was simple, I had the receipt from safeway showing that i can make a purchase here. I even called from safeway to verify that a couple of the lanes can accept food stamps. In that call, Trader Joes admits not having working food stamp registers. I saw the scowl on the supervisors face, and i thought he was ridiculous so i asked to talk to someone else, i try to repeat my story, but was asked to leave. This is tone deaf response when i went out of my way to try to make a transaction possible, all i got were war hawks. Making a horrible day and horrible holiday when i came in just to support the store and my life.
