Most of the reviews I have seen on this watch retailer are mediocre at best! It is not surprising! The owner is Giancarlo Salgado, he attended to me, during a visit to his hall kiosk in the new section at Dadeland Mall. He is not at all an impressive individual, nor is he about customer service, or tending to you as a prospective customer. In fact, he acted as though he had a better place to be; like you're wasting his time. Little did he know, that I too have been in the watch business for close to 25 years, and have worked for top brands from Europe. I am not bragging, but this is part of my credentials. I can tell you from experience, if I treated my customers with the indifference with which he treated me, well, I'd have people writing reviews about me like the ones he has written about him and his business! He has good brands, and attractive merchandise. It is not about bad-mouthing. It is what is basic to any retail business and is lacking severely at this one... customer service and business professionalism. This is not a 3rd world country, where you can get away with anything pretty much, or so it seems! So, most likely it's all about odds for this business. Odds are, most of the time a watch sale goes well, and there are few claims. This is why he probably handles himself the way he does, and just chooses to ignore people that require a little more information or professionalism from him, to choose to buy, &/or maybe he imply chooses to defer people who actually have an issue with the products he sells and a legitimate claim. It's not worth his time or effort. He is all about the fast buck, and not about details. He is all about the here and now in front of his nose, and not about building relationships with customers, referrals, or repeat business. I venture to say, a guy like this doesn't even have a strategy or a mindset to try for an add-on sale. For this, you need to have a happy, satisfied, and content customer; because this is the type of customer who feels good about spending money in a place where it seems he or she is appreciated; as well as for the money they have spent. Giancarlo needs to go to business school and learn to give a rip about others, his customers, more than he does about himself! I rather purchase from another retailer who appreciates my time and money; provides me with proper customer service, and stands behind the product 110%, 110% of the time. Wouldn't buy a stick of gum from this guy! Lucky for me, I didn't even buy a watch!
