I want to make the public aware of deceptive sales tactics taught by the owner and utilized by the employees. Make sure you get an itemized receipt for your lenses, warranties (how long and what the warranty covers) and frames. There is lots of room for Sterling Optical to take advantage of incoming customers.I will say that I spent over $2000 in this store which is the Sterling Optical located in the Jefferson Valley Mall for three pairs of designer prescription glasses. They are very expensive and I cannot say that I am happy or satisfied with my purchase or how I was treated. The whole experience from dealing with the salesperson and the owner was deceptive. Receipts are not itemized and do not describe what you paying for in your lenses. Also displaying/conveying pricing to the public is not done at all. There was no transparency and poor sales ethics were used here. I was not given a choice in the pricing of progressive lenses or any of the other type of lenses. This was decided for me by the salesperson who choose the highest price range. The deception was covered up the store owner, The owner did contact me regarding this issue, but no resolution was offered, only a refund in exchange for taking down this review. The owner also threatened me and stated that she would use my medical information against me and use her company lawyers to retaliate against me and the review I left for this store. The owner responds to the reviews by threatening people to use their financial information and health information against them.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is like a used car dealership. You walk in and they fill your head with pretty words then cheat you out of your money. They lied to my face and told me they accepted my insurance then I find out later they put it in as an out of network claim so they can collect the claim money. I was going to do that myself but thought I was covered so I used them instead. When I realized the lie on my way home I called them back to cancel the order I had placed a half hour ago only to be told it's already being processed and there are no refunds. Already being processed?! The order had been placed a half hour ago. Ended up costing myself an extra $75 because of their lies. This place is full of deceitful slimy crooks. DO NOT GO HERE!
