Rifes Home Furniture - Eugene, Oregon 97401 - Valley River Center

I went to shop with my wife and baby about a month ago. We looked at the beds and chairs that they had. We were then approached by an employee who was slightly husky build, and I believe had a red beard. His voice was very monotone, like he disliked his job. He said to us, "you guys are checking out the beds? Do you have any questions?" We replied "not yet, we are still browsing." He rudely asks "are you guys serious buyers or just passing time?" I said I would appreciate more time to look. Without saying anything, he walked back to his desk. While we made our way to the end of the row, closer to the employee's desk, he approached us again, and what he said shocked me. In the same monotone voice, he said "sir, your child needs a mask, and you need to completely cover your nose with your mask." I informed him that my 8 month old child does not need to wear one, and I will fix my mask. He then regretfully says "I guess YOU PEOPLE don't need to wear your masks anyways." (Referring to the African American people who do not qualify for the mask mandate to prevent oppression.) I did not want to make a scene in front of my wife and child. My wife was ready to leave as soon as possible. I tried to get his name, but he was already walking away and did not answer me. Corporate has been notified, and I hope no one else has to deal with this man. He obviously hates his job and disrespects African Americans.
