Pottery Barn - Raleigh, North Carolina 27612 - Crabtree Valley Mall

I have never dealt with a group of managers who could care less about their customers. In September we ordered 5K worth of outdoor furniture. Two days after we bought it they had their friends and family event which would have meant a 20% discount for us had someone been transparent enough to do the right thing. I called and spoke to DEBRA about honoring this and I got the run around for a week. The first items delivered were literally thrown in our front yard. In Nov I was told that it was policy that ALL items had to arrive in order for them to ship, so we waited and finally at the end of December I got an email that our furniture would be delivered. We got a delivery and half of the items were missing. I immediately called Pottery Barn and was told "they are busy with customers" TWO days later Debra calls and says she is looking into in.... we are now a week from my conversation with Debra and NOTHING. I called again and spoke to another manager, who commited that she and Debra were working together the next day and yep, you guessed it again NO CALL. THIS STORE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY and 4 months later we still do not have our items.

What a terrible experience. I was returning a box of votive candles, $30 because none of them burned for more than 2-3 minutes. The two managers and one clerk have NO business working with people. They were rude, cold, and gave me the complete run-around. First I was told to produce a driver's license because I did not have a receipt. So I made the trek out to my car to get it. Then I was told they will not return after 30 days, I was within the 30 day window, then they ran the numbers from the box and the credit card with which I paid. They admitted it was complicated and she clearly did not know what she was doing. She got upset, put the box back in the bag and rudely stated she would not allow me exchange them. It was all intact, in the box, with the price tag on the bottom. I asked her if I could light them to prove they were not working. She said no. So $30 later I have no working candles, and will never walk in that store again.
