I've been going to Pensey's Spices in Tempe Marketplace ever since I can remember since moving to metro Phoenix in 2009. You can find 'the basics' like pepper and salt (all kinds like Kosher Salt, Grey Sea Salt from France, Pacific Salt...), cinnamon and nutmeg; spices like curries, paprika and Pensey's blends like Fox seasoning, les fines herbes for a light omelet, Tuscany seasoning, Ozark, great for BBQ dry rubs, a baking section plus gift boxes that are great as dinner/housewarming gifts. Choices come in 3 different sized jars or in zip lock packets to use as refills for your jar purchases. I've always found what I've needed and even have one of their coffee cups for my morning java! You can spend as much or as little time there according to your schedule; the staff is extremely knowledgeable to help should you just ask!
