Nails Spa & Beyond - Orange Park, Florida 32073 - 6755 - Orange Park Mall

I have debated on writing a review following my service yesterday. I have been a long time customer along with my family. I normally see Tina for a pedicure and rarely anyone else if she is not there. Yesterday was my first male nail technician in a long time. I have not ever been treated in an unprofessional and or indignant manner until this visit in the afternoon. It is understood that the technician asks for specifics (i.e. gel, deluxe and more). However, it is known what I like and am specific to what services I like when I come in. I felt the technician was annoyed when I declined having gel after having had already chosen my nail color. Followed by having the deluxe spa. cutting down of nails and etc. I generally do not look down anymore simply because Tina and a couple of other technicians are aware of the services I have been accustomed to. I took notice to his frustration as my feet were not up from the water to remove the nail polish. I as well did not appreciate the manner in which he spoke with me about having the ingrown nail to be removed. The technician was not gentle in handling my feet placing it on the top to begin the pedicure. When he began to cut to remove the ingrown portion he was forceful and inflicting a great deal of pain. Understandably there is some minor discomfort to removing that portion of the nail; however, the technician was forcefully digging and unaware of his way of handling my feet. When he finished he asked me - which I chose to inform him. I am extremely displeased with his unprofessional behavior in arguing with me. Then choosing to throw his things into his basket walking away from my chair. I looked at the other technicians while being treated like this to see that the salon got quiet and others looking in our direction. A female technician if correct said something to him. She completed a pedicure for another customer then quietly coming over to finish mine. I'm blown away from his demeanor to give ugly looks while still in the salon before going to another customer. I am a paying customer and have always tipped well for quality service. This is unfortunate for the behavior displayed yesterday. My family and I may very well be looking for another salon to go to.

The trolling has just begun.......this place refused service to a disabled girl and i welcome the day it closes down for good

These ladies do not respect black women. They have poor attitudes and I refuse to spend my money at a salon that has disrespectful employees. My black dollars allow you to feed your family and send your children to good schools. I will never go here again and I advise every black patron to go somewhere else. Do not spend your money where you are not appreciated!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE believe these reviews! If I could give a negative star I would.This was not my first, second, or third time going here and going to someone (Kim) that has done a good job in the past. However, if you're not getting gel get ready for your nails to be done VERY unsatisfactory!!! I went back for the problem to be corrected the next day only to be told Kim does not work there anymore. When I know Kim has been there for at least 3 years. And I bet if I go back by there again Kim will be there. I'm sure these people stay in business because they are at the entrance and they seem nice and pleasant when you come in. The minute you have a problem customer service is out the door!! And forget talking to a manger, you may as well call it a loss! Please report to the BBB this needs attention. Their under Nail City or Nail Spa and Beyond! I am very big on customer service especially when paying your hard earned money for a service!
