Matthew’s Hallmark - Christiansburg, Virginia 24073 - New River Valley Mall

Thankfully, I had a super experience with Shirley, Manager at Matthew's Hallmark. Many of the Hallmark Stores have closed in the Rocky Mount/Roanoke/Salem Virginia area. I have collected Black Hallmark Ornaments since their very first. So each year I'm on the big hunt to find them. The store in Beckley West Virginia was kind enough 2 years ago to mail them to me - they were lifesavers! This year I searched for a store in the Blacksburg/Christiansburg area because my Radford University son could pick the ornaments up and bring them to me during Winter break. When I called the store Shirley was super friendly from beginning to end of the transaction, even offering to mail the purchase if my son failed to pick it up. I will certainly continue to support Matthew's Hallmark Shop!

My Fiance bought our first Christmas Snow Globe to celebrate our first Christmas together. He brought it to work to surprise me and unfortunately it didn't play music so we went back to the store less than 30 mins after the purchase to trade it out for another. They only had about 4 to choose from and unfortunately I didn't like any of them. We went to the counter to explain why and to get a refund and the Lady informed us that a refund was not possible without the receipt even though he was in there less than 30 mins prior and checked out with the same women. I asked to speak with a manger and not only was she rude and unhelpful she had a nasty disposition and refused to refund us and said I had to call corporate. I have never been anywhere with such HORRIBLE customer service! I work in the hospitality industry and would be embarrassed if my employees treated a guest that way. My Fiance went dumpster diving to get the receipt and I WILL NEVER BE BACK AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DISGUSTING ATTITUDES THAT YOUR EMPLOYEES CONVEY!
