Macy's - Clearwater, Florida 33761 - Countryside Mall

I have shopped at Macy's 3 times this month. My last visit encouraged me to write a review in case there is anyone who wants to listen to constructive criticism. On one of my gift shopping visits I asked at checkout for a box. I was told we don't have any and won't till Christmas; but there is a dollar store in the next shopping center. Too bad it was always nice to have a Macys Box and also good advertising for you. One trip I bought a beautiful candle and found the bottom had a crack. I could have returned it; but did not want to deal with going back to the store. My last visit was a no purchase. I actually felt stressful when I left the store. I was overwhelmed with all the stuff in the aisles and the setting up for Christmas in the middle of business hours. It was very difficult to even shop. The Last Act has made the Macy's I once loved and was my first choice into a junk store. I feel like I am in a thrift store when I enter that area. Clothes hanging in racks all over; wrong sizes; and the prices are just ok. I took a peek at the home center and was very disappointed at the clutter there even though at Countryside mall it is a separate room. The sales have gotten so hard to follow; I feel like I have to be a Philadelphia lawyer to figure out what works on what item. So many restrictions and added signs throughout the store. I miss the old Macy's. Macy's is the only major department store credit card I own. It was always my "go to" store for the majority of my purchases throughout the year. I now find it's easier to shop stores like Marshall's where they have brand names and good prices and no extra time figuring things out. I would love to see the elegance Macy's once had for shopping in the store return.
