Had a great experience. Much kinder than other offices

We scheduled an appointment on Monday and canceled it on Tuesday and paid a deposit . When we called to get our deposit back the manager was very rude and refused to give our money back. Matter of fact she was laughing and said to bad this policy was not in writing they just keep it. Be careful they will keep your money without any reason don’t go here.

The staff and dentist I have interacted with have been nothing but amazing to me at this location, and I was planning to make this my permanent dentist, but I have changed my mind. I scheduled a wisdom teeth removal a month in advance with their oral surgeon who only has Wednesday appointments. I scheduled the appointment for the day before Thanksgiving because I wouldn’t have to take off any work/take disability or vacation with the holiday the next two days after. The day of my appointment, I did not eat or drink anything from 7am to 3pm, as I was told. I arrived to the office about 20 minutes before my scheduled check in time and the people at the front desk were awesome, as usual. I was quickly called back for my appointment only to meet the oral surgeon telling me we needed to reschedule (funny...as I walked in the room, he waited in the hallway, and I heard him quietly ask “what is her name?” to the dental assistant). He said the last two appointments ran over and then quickly added “I need to pick my kids up from the airport.” This confuses me a little because I scheduled this appointment one month in advance, an appointment he had available on his calendar. I was nervous for the procedure and prepared myself for an entire month only to be told I needed to reschedule...because of a conflicted flight schedule. They rescheduled the appointment right there, but I felt pressured to schedule it for the next Wednesday without getting a chance to check my work schedule. It is completely not feasible for me to take 2-3 days off of work, which is why I scheduled the appointment the day before Thanksgiving in the first place - everyone in the office already had the holiday off, so I wouldn’t fall behind. Now I have to move my schedule around - and this time, I am going somewhere else. It would’ve been nice for a call/heads up halfway through the day if the oral surgeon knew he needed to pick his kids up from the airport. Instead, I was anxious about the appointment all day and didn’t eat a thing. Like I said, I have enjoyed my experiences at Gulfside, but I suggest you find a different oral surgeon, if you’re able. While I may revisit Gulfside for cleaning, I am already looking for a new oral surgeon. Also...they called me a couple of days before my appointment asking if I could move it up one hour. I asked if it was necessary, and they said no, I could keep 3pm (my ride was not available at 1pm). Just speculation, but I am guessing he knew about the flight and was trying to push me up.
