Be aware. Hatred staff and managers. If you dare step in, they will throw you out!!! Had this terrible return experience with this store today! Exactly what described by Kanan Shah below, or maybe even worse. If you dare go to this GAP store, all they will do is to kick you out!! Trust me, they yelled, embarrassed, threatened, shamed me just because I want to return a defective hoodie with a hole on it bought from this store before Christmas. Three managers, two men and a woman, standing next to each other blamed me that I washed the hoodie. I explain to them that before I washed it, I didn't see the hole that is under the hood close to the seam and it is very hard to catch. We wash all new clothes before we let our kids wear them. And my son never got a chance to wear it since he found out the hole and pretty upset about his Christmas present. I bought this defective hoodie from this GAP store. When I try to return it, first the cashier told me no way they will get a me refund. He literally said that "How about you go home and sew it." Excuse me, you sold me a hoodie with a hole, made my son disappointed, took me a trip to your store to return, all you have to say is sending me home to sew it?? No heart, no empathy, no respect, no shame on their own defective product. Then he sent two more managers, one woman and two men including him, try to kick me out of the store. The woman, short, heavy, black hair with heavy makeup (I assume her name is Lupe from another post, although they all refuse to provide their names), no greeting, not even asked me a question, coldly told me that I have to call custom service. When I asked why I can't solve this problem in this store since the man next to her sold it to me. She said teasingly that she doesn't know which store I bought it. So I pointed to the original receipt laid on the counter. She quickly grab it and try to destroy my receipt!!!. I saved my receipt from her hand. She acted as a gangster and ordered the man next to her to call security! What the heck!!!They sold a hoodie with a hole to me. When I try to return or exchange it to make my son happy, all they did, not a simple apology or empathy, but just need to call security. When they have three people yelling, shaming, embarrassing me in front of all the customers in store, vs. me a women by myself, they need call security! They need call security to throw a customer out who is trying to return a defective merchandise, and the manager try to destroy the original receipt. How much they hate their customers??? How much they hate their jobs??? Why this reminds me United Airline David Gao case. I guess if you dare step into this store, make sure you notify your attorney first. After I left the store, with the woman manager yelling behind me several times that whole store people can hear "YOU CAN LEAVE THE STORE NOW! HAVE A NICE DAY!" I thought I was the jerk. Until I saw below review left by Kanan Shah and realized that this is their common practice to shame and embarrass anyone requests returns. That's why before the casher called out managers, he said heartless: "There is no way you will get a refund!" He didn't finish the rest, that is "If you dare to question more, we will throw you out with security." Called custom service with a guy very kind and nice. He offers me a $30 dollar gift card that I rejected. I will never buy anything from GAP with this humiliation. I filed a complaint and request a formal apology from GAP. For now, the issue is far beyond a 30 dollar hoodie. Let's see how the regional manager and GAP Corp handle this recurring hatred toward costumer with returns.
