Game Stop - Willmar, Minnesota 56201 - Kandi Mall

Could not say amything bad about this place. Always finding me the best deals possible whether it be for trades or purchases. I have seen a negative review by a kid who says they would not sell him an "M" rated video game cause he was underage but yet the kid claimed it was for an older brother. Well there is a reason why they didn't sell it to him. 1.) Their company does stings and if the employee gets busted selling to underage people the employee would instantly lose their job!! Guess this kid does not care if the employee has a family to take care of. 2.) ESRB ratings are governed through policies and legalities that the government incorporates. GameStop does not control ESRB ratings. You need to write your politicians if you want change and not blame GameStop or the employees for following the law. Would you expect a liquor store or gas station to sell an underage person cigarettes or alcohol? No! Why? Cause the place can get hugely fined, the employee lose their job, and even criminal charges or fines to the individual employee. Not worth the risk. Then there was another customer who claimed that Willmar GameStop accused him of stealing. I was there that day when this guy claimed it. The employee kindly stated to the guy that the item he purchased for $49.99 which was an XBox One Power supply was brand new, wrapped in bubble wrap, and even has a GameStop logo on it. That employee also stated that a couple employees even validated that when they received the item it was GameStop branded, etc. The customer brought a broken Microsoft branded power supply back which for that brand GameStop charges $69.99 for name brand. The $49.99 one came directly from GameStops warehouses. So, even though the customer brought back a different power cord and tried to claim that is how he got it, the employee still took care of him and went above and beyond what he had to which the employee did not have to and this guy still leaves a bad review. I feel sorry for these employees and the things they have to deal with on a daily basis. Then another guy complains about PROs not being in Stock. First off, every retailer gets different replenishments at different times. Second, GameStop cannot control when Sony makes or sends GameStop new shipments of the pro. The reason why GameStop ran out is because they were in high demand and low supply by the vendor (SONY). Also SONY was making Red Dead 2 bundles so that is where their supplies were going and therefore they were street dated as well for 10/26. Wal-Mart and Target were not in stock either as all around town it was impossible to get. This same guy also stated GameStop would not take trades on the games that GameStop sells. Not sure what games he tried to sell, but GameStop is a supply and demand business. If the supply is high and demand is low they are not going to hardly offer anything or they will not take them at all. Condition can also play a factor. Do you really think someone is going to want a madden 2008 in the year 2018 when graphics and features of today are far better than 10 years ago? Do you think someone is going to want an online only game if they dont have internet? Do you think a tiny store has room to stock every title you think they should stock whether you believe it will sell or not? Think about it this way. Do you think a car dealer is going to give you much of anything if they give you anything at all for a car with very high mileage, needs body work, needs other repairs, is an unpopular car, and is not something a person wants to buy? No, they are in it for the business. They will only take cars that they want and that they know they can turn over and make money off of. So, before any of you believe or think the negative reviews are just...then put yourself in the employees shoes, or think of things from a business perspective, or look at it you are only hearing one side of the story which is not even factual or stated in correct context. Ask yourself if you are hearing the whole story. Cause most negative reviews may just be a person trying to vent or take out their anger because they got busted, or did not get their way, or because they dont research laws, or take the time to put themselves in employees shoes and realize their are policies that need to be followed, etc... Willmar GameStop keep up the awesome work and I am sorry for anyone leaving negative reviews and trying to tear you down. You guys rock!!! I know you do your best and do what you can. You guys work hard and just dont get enough credit.
