Sad to see so much hate
by Antonio, Oct 28, 2019
Every time I am in the business is great and dope. It's sad to see so many people on here trying to ruin a business with lies for no reason. If you don't like that African Americans can own a business there's an issue because so many of the stores in this mall actually act like they shouldn't be there but they get no complaints or lies about them. It's really sad because most say "they're afraid to say anything directly to the people causing the so called problems" but yet have the balls and courage to say over the internet....... Why not go to the owner and say something to him to correct any issues that were had instead of letting them be then writing a bad review saying blatant lies? Issues can be solved very easily if they are brought to attention instead of saying you're afraid, afraid because they're african american men? there's even security in our mall so if any of that "illegal stuff" was going on there would be someone to go instead the internet to create lies about the only black ran business in the mall. You people are pathetic honestly in my opinion. Every time I am in there there's a good conversation, and when I have an issue I bring it up and it gets fixed right away. Never cussed out or anything along those lines.
Bad experience haircut

Do not go to this barber shop, my son got the worst haircut
My boys LOVE this Barbershop!!
by Brittany, Apr 12, 2019
Love this place! All the barbers that I have interacted with are awesome! They always treat my boys and myself with the upmost respect. Duke and Trayvon are the two that cut my boys' hair and my boys have always loved the service they receive! My youngest always goes into the barbershop just to tell his Barber "Hi" and give him a hug, even if he isn't getting a haircut! Will continue to bring my kids here! Thanks Game Changer for always looking out for my boys! Much appreciated!
Bad cut
by Adam, Apr 4, 2019
First time had a great cut. This time I think the guy was new to cutting hair. Have a patch in back that is long. My taper is non existent. My edge up is uneven and the barber was musty. As far as the vibe it is alot of rap and grown folks talk and checking out ladies but Idc about that. My one star is strictly about the horrible cut and the stinky barber. I dont know his name but it was a young Hispanic guy with long hair
Worst cut ever
by Sarah W., Mar 3, 2019
I took 2 of my sons to get hair cuts at this place today. I left after one. The barber was speaking on his phone (personal calls) the whole time, and didn't even talk to my son. We didn't want to embarrass my son (teenager) by complained at the shop. His hair is terribly uneven. There are uncut patches, uneven lines, and his ear was cut and bloody.
There are no licenses posted as well. Please avoid this place!
Manwhore

I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially father and sons visiting. Profane language, very loud rap music, the word Nigger used several times, and the worse haircut I have had in many years. That fool that cut my hair was a joke!

As a black man, it is difficult to find a good barbershop in the Phoenix area. After relocating to Mesa, I stumbled across Game Changers Barbershop. I was immediately struck by the positive energy in the barbershop. The owner of the barbershop opened up the day with a prayer! I have been coming here for over a year now, and have received quality haircuts, top notch service, and feel welcomed every time that I step in the door. Game Changers is truly a pillar of the Mesa community. Thank you for allowing me to share.
My favorite Barbershop
by Big Jon, Oct 5, 2018
I get a haircut every week and I drive from Tempe to these fellas in Mesa every week to get my cut. I'm from the south, used to family atmospheres. I also have been living here 5 years and they have that vibe that has kept my business every since. Harold, Trayvon and his brother are loyal barbers and are loyal men. People misunderstand them bc they've overcome some bad luck in life, but these are God fearing brothers who respect people like people. However, these are good men with mad skills who makes sure everybody that gives then business are in good hands. Harold has become more than my barber, he and these fellas have become my brothers. Shout out to Game Changers!

This is where your new home of haircuts is. If you want to feel comfortable while laughing and joking with some great barbers then stop in and get you and your loved ones a fresh cut here. I highly recommend seeing Rio or Travon, they treat their customers right. My family’s favorite shop!

Gang banging and gambling
by John, Sep 5, 2018
I am only writing this review because this is the third time I have witnessed this activity inside the barbershop. On two different occasions I have witnessed the owner (Trayvon) and his so called “cousin” Harold gang banging and gambling inside the barbershop. The first time I witnessed this situation Harold started yelling and using profanity as well as gang slang and terminology towards a customer that he says bet him on the Floyd mayweather boxing match and didn’t pay him. Harold also threatened to follow the young man outside to his car and grab a firearm to “handle the situation”.the owner Trayvon allowed this to go on in his shop while egging the situation on. I have also recently witnessed the owner Trayvon cursing a young man and his girlfriend out because he attempted to exchange marijuana fir a haircut and Tre young man shorted him on the transaction. I have witnessed men playing dice in the barber shop as well as them using profanity words such as “Nigga” and “Bitch” in front of small children. I am afraid when being inside of the barber shop and do not see why the mall would allow illegal gambling rings and drug dealers to operate Inside of the establishment. I refuse to shop at this mall because of these activities and will be notifoall of my friends and family of these instances. *Note I have also overheard Trayvon telling a young man with dreads that he can only cut hair out of the barbershop on weekends because he does not have his license yet.

I took both my Boys here ages 7 and 9 for a haircut. It was our first time. Their were a few other folks getting a cut and some folks waiting. The gentlemen working there (about 5 of them) were all closed in on a discussion amongst each other. In the mix of conversations...they were talking about women's private parts and sexual remarks between a married man and relations with a woman other than their wives. Profanities were thrown in and I couldn't take it any longer. I went to all of them and had to tell them there were kids in there and that their conversations were so inappropriate! They apologized and one worker said, "I'm so sorry ma'am, I didn't realize there were children here." What, seriously...? My son was sitting 2 feet from him and he didn't know, come on...!" One of the workers had his small 7-8 year old son sweeping up the floor...and "he didn't know there were kids there!?" Never again will I step foot in that place! It's so unfortunate because the gentleman did a good job on both my kiddos hair. But their language and choices of conversation do not belong in a family barber shop!
