Express Men - Newport News, Virginia 23602 - Patrick Henry Mall

I have been an active Express shopper for several years and have been in Express stores in various states, I am going to guess about 100x. It is in my top 3 favorite stores to shop from. Unfortunately, I was appalled today by the service being performed at the Express store at Patrick Henry Mall, which is my local store, prior to this I always receive great customer service here. I was in the store for approximately 40 min. w/o ever being asked if I needed assistance, including having walked 2x completely from front to back of store. There was approximately 3 people, at most, during my time in store and the 2 girls working were talking about personal lives to each other and dancing to the music playing. I have typically always been asked from an Express associate, when they see me holding clothing in my hands, if I want to start a fitting room, unfortunately, these ladies never did that and I had approximately 8 items in my hand. I had to go to them to ask for fitting room, which one associate said "okay". They never checked on me while in fitting room to see how I was doing. They never asked me, when I came out of fitting room, how was everything. As you can tell, I am used to Express associates doing these things. Also, I was confused by the sale signs, since no one had come to me to explain what deals were going on, there were 2 small ones on racks that said dresses 50%, but then in the window they still had the sign that said Buy 1 get 2nd for $19.90, which I know that sale just ended, because i was just on the site this past week. I asked the lady, when I was checking out, i'm having a hard time understanding the signs, are all dresses 50% and she said "yah". When I checked out, the dress I had did not ring up 50% off, so in checking my receipt, i had to come back with it (before leaving mall) and told her my dress had not rung up 50%, and she acted like I was bothering her. she was like "sooooo, it didn't ring up right? pull it out and let me see". After she realized it didn't happen, we agreed to return and repurchase, she handed it back to me and never said sorry that had happened or that she hadn't caught that. She was totally flippant with me. Also, I would also like to make mention that I am not sure why they put this store as a buy online and pick up in store, when they update nothing online that they have. When I went in there today, they had a bunch of things that on the Express website was listed as "not available" for this store. Why give an incentive for $10 reward bonus if you buy online and pick up in store, when literally half the stuff they have at the store, is not listed as available. I am not sure what it takes for them to update their merchandise, but this isn't the first time I have noticed this at this store. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received at an Express store and overall they are usually awesome and helpful and kind. I have actually made friends with some of them. I literally love this store, so I was shocked to see what I saw and experienced today.
