The woman in the first chair to the right cut and lined up my hair. It looked great until i got home 10 minutes later and notices red welts along where she lined up the cut. A few hours later they turned to darker almost purple scratches. This never happens and I visit the barber regularly. I thought this was a quick fix to not being able to get to the City for my usual.

Please use caution when using this salon. I thought at first it would be great, a salon for African American women and men at Lakeside Mall. I quickly learned that the staff thought because they were one of the few black salons in the area, they could charge anything they wanted. My experience: I went in to get a sew-in. The stylist quoted me a price of $150.00 (what I expected) but when she finished she charged me a whole whole lot more. I questioned her increase and she told me that the longer she takes on a person head the more she will charge. This will only benefit her. So for a style that takes only 3 hours (on average) she can stretch it out and take her time for an additional two hours (calling family and friends, eating lunch, etc.) Wow! Please be fair and honest to your clients. I spoke to other clients and they said the same thing. Also, It's kinda hit and miss with the quality of work. One stylist does not trim your hair after a perm, and have no problem over processing your hair. Please save yourself some time and money, take the trip to the City!!!!

The place is family friendly, they crack jokes and if you come there often, everyone will know your name. The workers are friendly too!

Waited over an hour before service and I had and appointment and was never acknowledged not a way to gain new customers
