Our waitress Gillian was a perfect example for polite friendly informative speedy accurate and outstanding service. As people who have over 20 years of food service experience both as an employee, mgmt and as franchisers, we appreciate service personnel who treat you as a guest. She was quick to get our drinks and chips with salsa, then suggested queso which we ordered as well; food came out rapidly,it was hot fresh well presented ; she followed up on refills and clearing plates. We asked for some flour tortillas they were brought very quickly and also ordered sopappias which were also hot delicious and with plenty of honey.I drink lots of sweet tea and I always ask for extra ice and she responded exactly as requested, refilled it promptly as needed. The food itself was hot fresh very good with excellent chips and great salsa. Our only complaint was upon arrival, another couple came in at same time, we both waited quite a long time before anyone addressed our presence , they were seated first which was fine but we were not even acknowledged and finally after a 5+ minute wait I finally went to the bar trying to get the lady to recognize we were waiting customers, it took a couple of minutes before I was able to get her to even look up, and only one couple was present , and they were at the bar;in the meantime hubby went to find someone in main dining. There was a total of 6 tables with customers not a server or hostess in sight, a Tuesday night at app 6:15 pm. Yes we will come back and hope the arrival is more welcoming.If it’s a slow time a mgr needs to figure out how to make people aware of arrivals ,a bell that can be rung or ??? Too many choices for spending my money to start out my dining experience on bad footing.
