Best alteration over chargered me by 30$. I came in to get my dress hemme - my dress has two thin layers. A lace one and a sheer fabric. super easy. I also needed the lying taken out. I told them it was my wedding dress. This dress could’ve easily passed as a school dress or church dress. They charged me 111.95$ I was by myself and I just didn’t stick up for myself. So angry. These ladies ruined two of two bridesmaid dresses we took to them for hemming. They refused to listen to us we asked to leave them a bit long. Hemmed way too short. One was crooked (inch shorter on one side than the other). The only positive: they took the bra pads out in less than a minute without cutting the dress. David’s bridal wanted to charge $60.00 per dress to do this.

Best alterations has helped us with many dress alterations over the years. She is creative and innovative with finding solutions. For example, my daughter got a dress for a dance that she absolutely loved. However, it had somewhat restrictive bat like sleeves that made it awkward to dance or raise her arms in. Even with challenging fabric with a distinct embroidered pattern, she was able to create sleeves that were flattering and functional.

I came into Best Alterations with huge problem with my wedding dress. I had ordered another dress on-line.....such a long story sooo to make a long story short never order your wedding dress on-line!!! I needed help. My wedding was in a week and a half and this dress did not fit me around the middle, yikes all the spanx in the city wasn't going to make this dress work out :( The very nice lady in the store immediately came up with a solution and not an easy one either. this dress had multiple layers with an outer layer of lace. She added one inch of stretchy fabric to both sides of the side seam and got it done quickly and neatly...I have my dress in plenty of time!! I am so grateful for her help. I can recommend Best Alterations and most certainly I feel free to use her services again! She did a great job!!

Would rate zero if I could. The customer service here is a joke. When we walked in the woman working stomped out of the back and rolled her eyes at every request or question we had. My brother and I got vests online that ended up being about three inches too short on us, we were hoping to just add some material to the sides to close the gap but apparently adding a couple inches of fabric on both sides of a vest was just too much for her to handle. I could forgive not being able to alter my best but the woman acting like a 5 year old being asked to do their chores is pathetic behavior. Every question ended in head shakes, eye rolls, and her throwing her hands in the air. We never even got price estimates, she flat out refused to serve us. We asked for alterations and got nothing but attitude.
