2 months ago I went to this shop in South Shore Plaza to change my watch battery and had the same bad experience like all of you. He’s so tricky and you’ll waste your money for nothing if you believe him. Be careful!
Sloppy battery replacement nearly ruined Casio G-Shock
I brought my 2008 Casio G-Shock here to get its battery replaced for the first time. I wish I had taken "before" photos and inspected the watch closely upon completion because it wasn't until a week or two later that I realized the watch was re-sealed improperly and the gasket was sticking out. This resulted in water getting in the watch, and upon opening up the watch it was discovered that the components were not even properly aligned before the watch was re-sealed. This caused a metal piece getting bent out of shape and I have yet to find a replacement part for it.
