Customer by ,
My grandma got me two pairs of jeans, one ordered online and another bought in store for Christmas. The jeans didn't fit so I went to do an in-store exchange for the two pairs of jeans that I got as a gift. The sales associate grabbed me two new pairs of jeans in the right size and I handed her the two pairs that I wanted to return, so the sales associate can do an exchange. Instead of doing an even exchange, the sales associate did a return therefor the money that was used to purchase the original jeans went back to the original card instead of her using the money from that transaction to buy the new pairs. When I told her that it needed to be an exchange and not a return because I didn't have access to the card because it was a gift, She said there was nothing to do because you cant void transactions. What kind of retail store doesn't have a void policy. How can you properly call yourself a retail store if you cant void a transaction when your sales associates make mistakes? She called customer service to see if they could void the transaction. Customer service couldn't void the transaction. The sales associate then tells me I would have to get the credit card from the person who originally purchased the jeans if I wanted to re-buy the new ones or get the money back. May I remind you, I don't have to access the card because it was a gift. So, the sales associate just threw away a $100 gift from me. This happened at the Bellevue, Washington store today December 27th. I dealt with the manager, Angelo, and another head manager who was a woman. Angelo was wearing a grey long sleeve shirt with a cross silver necklace and had a darker complexion. The other manager who was a woman was 5'2 dark brown hair in a ponytail with a grey sweater and blue wash jeans. They were of no help regarding the manner. They told me they couldn't do anything and that I had lost my money and the only way to get It back was to get the credit card of the original buyer. I am also very upset with the caliber of their highering process. Everyone I dealt with was rude and less than inclined to help. I heard the other sales associates talking rudely about me behind the counter. One girl had long brown hair and brown eyes and she was wearing a white floral shirt. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a retail store. With a retail background, I am astonished by the poor policies and sales associates.
